Just Like You

Here's my entry for 's contest! Boy did it take a looong time! About... 7 and 1/2 hours.... wooo! And that was just today!
We were to draw Pendrel, WrathOfNessis' character, and a stallion and their foal! I was gonna use Russo, but I came up with this new stally!
I was trying to describe this in a little paragraph, but its not really working... so I'll do a lil' narrative for ya!

It was Asanos' power that drew Pendrel towards him. He had never shown any aggression towards the others, and was often seen mucking around with the feisty foals that dared to part from their mothers' sides. His gentle temperment hidden underneath his strong dark body was soon revealed to Penny. She couldn't help it... he was a total hunk...

Several months later, their first son was born. He took his mother's body colour and facial markings, and his father's mane colouring and leg markings. His name... Asandrel. His lively being and spunky determination for everything made Penny nicker. He followed his sire around, watching his movements and copying him in everything, but the slightest hint of fear brought him to his mother's side. Penny cherished them both, and watching Asandrel leap up the grassy hill to learn how to search for danger in unknown lands, wrapping the memory in golden paper and tying it with shiny ribbon...
